Inspiring Women in STEM was founded in 2013 to create and deliver high quality, impactful conferences and professional development programming designed to encourage, support and inspire women scientists, engineers and other professionals in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math careers.


Jennifer Kmiec, Founder and Owner

 Jennifer Kmiec is founder of Inspiring Women in STEM, where she develops conferences, forums and workshops with regional partners.   She is also Associate Director of The Committee of 100, a non-profit business organization focusing on responsible economic development.   Jennifer has a strong background in tech-based economic development, non-profit management, and marketing. She is Immediate Past Chair of the Delaware BioScience Association, and was the first Executive Director of the Delaware Sustainable Chemistry Alliance. Jennifer currently serves on the Delaware Small Business Development Center Advisory Board. She is State Chair of Million Women Mentors - Delaware, and is a Delaware Delegate to Vision 2020.  Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Southern Illinois University, and a master’s degree in administration from the University of California at Davis.
